All appointments require a credit card on file to schedule.

Appointments on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays require a $50 non-refundable booking fee, which will be applied to your wedding gown purchase. Appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays will be charged $50 ONLY if the appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice.

We recommend shopping for your wedding dress right after you choose your wedding date and venue. Most gowns take between six and eight months to arrive from the date you order the dress. 

If you have less than six months before your big day, we still have lots of options that can be ready in time for your wedding. Rush fees and availability depend on the designer. We also have a frequently-changing selection of sample gowns at Oh My Gown, that can be purchased off the rack, which are great for very short time-frame brides!

At The Plumed Serpent, we strive to keep your appointment as refined as possible (which means it is not your typical bridal experience). Your initial bridal appointment will run for 1 1/2 hours. Your follow-up is usually about half of that time. Your entire appointment will be spent with a personal bridal stylist who will select dresses, jewelry, and accessories, based on who you are, your vision, and key elements that are important to you for your big day!

We welcome you to bring pictures of gowns that inspire you. Source them from magazines, Pinterest, vision boards…anything you’d like! If you don't already have a vision of what you like, no worries - we'll help you discover your wedding style.

Please wear nude-colored underwear when trying on wedding dresses. We encourage you to eat before or after your visit with us as we do not allow food and beverages in the shop with the exception of water. In Westport, we are surrounded by several local restaurants and are happy to recommend our favorites if requested!

Our made-to-order gowns range from $2,500 - $15,000, with the bulk of our gowns being in the $2,500-$8,000 range. 

When you come in for your appointment, your bridal stylist will help you choose gowns in a price range that you're comfortable with. We never push you to spend more than you want, and we treat every bride with the same pampering service regardless of how much she wants to spend.
